Hello Students, Parents/Guardians, and Valued Members of the New Lothrop Community,
It is with great excitement and a deep sense of pride that I welcome you all to New Lothrop Jr./Sr. High School! Whether you are returning or joining us for the first time, I am thrilled to begin this journey together and honored to serve a district and community that I care so deeply about.
My name is Drew Severn, and I currently serve as the Jr./Sr. High School Principal at New Lothrop Area Public Schools. Over the past 19 years, I have had the privilege of serving in multiple leadership roles within our district, including Elementary Principal and K–12 Assistant Principal/Athletic Director. These experiences have provided me with a comprehensive understanding of our school system, a strong connection to our staff and students, and a deep commitment to educational excellence.
Throughout my time in education, I’ve worked hard to build strong relationships, foster collaboration, and support both academic and social growth for all students. From leading curriculum alignment efforts in math, ELA, and science, to serving as a mentor, teacher evaluator, SAT coach, and professional development facilitator, my focus has always been on empowering both students and staff.
I’ve also led initiatives such as the Early Warning Intervention and Monitoring Systems (EWIMS), served as our district liaison for the Center for Interactive Learning and Collaboration (CILC), and overseen multiple student support systems, including 504 planning and MTSS teams. These efforts are all part of a larger goal: to ensure every student has the tools and support they need to succeed, both in and out of the classroom.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions or just to introduce yourself. I look forward to connecting with you and working together to make New Lothrop Jr./Sr. High School a premier landmark for all.
Best,
Drew Severn, M.Ed., Ed.S.
